Madonna di Campiglio is a famous ski resort in the Rendena Valley, between the most famous tops of the Alps for reputation, image, social life and sport activity, with a very good level of infrastructures.
Also Pinzolo can stand out as an independent tourist station: easy tracks for families and children; more difficult tracks for the experts (black track Competition). This small locality is, above all, the base for summer stays at a low altitude, with numerous opportunities to visit the Natural Park Adamello Brenta, where numerous chamois and some bears live.
Between Pinzolo and Campiglio we can admire the last "masi" (farmsteads), in contrast with the tourist image of the zone.
Absolutely not to miss is the Museum of the war on the Adamello in Spiazzo Rendeva. In Tione the church of Santa Maria Assunta is worth of interest with its high bell tower (54 meters). Inside we can admire frescoes of the Baschenis.
Near Ponte Arche, a zone of summer tourism, we find the Baths of Comano, whose waters, coming from the Group of the Brenta, are particularly indicated for the cure of the skin. In Sarche one should visit the castle, the lake of Toblino, the gorges of the Limarò and the Bus de Vela and other charming sceneries.
The Hapsburg Carnival, in February, recalls the arrival of the emperor Franz Joseph with his wife Sissi, with paraded and big dinners. The Emperor's Ball is waited for as Grande Finale and takes place in the Hofer festivity hall at the Hotel des Alpes.
The kitchen is of international type: American doc meat, hamburger of Angus, American style. But places where you can appreciate game, canederli or salted meat do not lack.
