The Val di Fiemme (Fiemme Valley) includes 15 villages subdivided in 11 municipalities,

The Val di Fiemme is a real open air museum. In fact centres of a certain
suggestion thanks to the wall paintings that adorn the houses do not lack. Around
the XVIIIth century, the valley gave to life to its own painting school,
with and influences from Venice and Brixen, with the contribution of numerous
artists, among whom Cristoforo Unterberger.
To conserve, to improve and to take a rational advantage of the forests are the
fundamental principles of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme, an organism
that manages 20.000 hectares divided among 9 municipalities of the valley.
The valley is the paradise of the wilderness. The south slope of the Lagorai
range, in fact, is one of the most integral zones with no settlements in the Alps.

In summer there is a large choice of possible excursions at a low or high
altitude that. The thick path net reminds us old events of the great war. Among
the most beautiful areas we find the Venegia Valley, inside the Park Paneveggio-Pale
di San Martino, spotted by mountain barns. A goal absolutely to reach is Fort
Dossaccio. The most famous shelters are the Baita Segantini and the Torre di Pisa,
on the Latemar.
The lovers of riding will find in Val di Fiemme a point of reference, with equipped
sport centers that organize excursions and raid. Those who instead prefer the
bike shouldn't miss the mountain-bike way "Marcialonga" down in the
valley. In winter the main ski areas are three: Ski Center Latemar, Alpe Cermis,
Bellamonte-Alpe di Lùsia. A fourth area, in common with San Martino
di Castrozza, is that of Passo Rolle. Numerous are also the cross country tracks.
