Monreale Castle
The top of its crenellated walls gives to Monreale castle a particular light and a clear outline contrasting with the mountain behind it, giving to the whole building a very suggestive aspect.
Monreale, fief of the Appianos (XIII), passed then to the counts of Tyrol, to the Habsburgs and eventually to the family Rubin de Cervin-Albrizzi.
The castle of Monreale rises lone among the vineyards near Faedo.
