Don’t you know where Trentino-Südtirol is located? Here is some information
Trentino-Südtirol is the most northern Italian autonomous region. It borders on Southern Austria, Eastern Switzerland, Lombardia and Veneto. It is entirely mountainous and 70% of its surface is covered with forests. It consists in two areas: the southern part is Trentino, which coincides with the province of Trento, whereas the northern part is South Tyrol, with capital Bolzano.
In spite of its position and of the presence of many lakes, passes and long and narrow valleys, the area is well connected and can be reached easily from the most important Italian and European cities. It is crossed by the A22 Brennero Motorway as well as by many provincial and municipal roads.
The main railway line consists in the Verona-Trento-Bolzano-Brennero-Innsbruck section, as well as in different additional stretches such as Bolzano-Merano, Fortezza-San Candido-Lienz and Trento-Primolano-Bassano del Grappa.
The nearest airports lie in Venice, Milan and Verona. There are also two small airports in Bolzano (offering daily flights to Rome) and Trento (for private airplanes, gliders and helicopters).
